Army sergeant killed in Afghanistan; crash kills Air Force captain in Middle East
The U.S. Defense Department has reported these fatalities:
▪ Army Staff Sgt. Matthew R. Ammerman, 29, of Noblesville, Ind., was killed Dec. 3 by small-arms fire in Zabul province, Afghanistan.
▪ Air Force Capt. William H. Dubois, 30, of New Castle, Colo., was killed Dec. 1 when his F-16 fighter jet crashed near a coalition air base in the Middle East.
