Soldier dies in combat in Afghanistan

The U.S. Defense Department has reported this fatality:

▪ Army Sgt. 1st Class Michael A. Cathcart, 31, of Bay City, Mich., was killed Nov. 14 by small-arms fire in Kunduz province, Afghanistan.
