Board places Kansas City Kansas Community College’s president on paid leave
The Kansas City Kansas Community College’s board of trustees unanimously voted to place the college’s president on paid administrative leave during a special meeting Tuesday evening, the college announced in a news release.
The college said it could not provide additional details on why the board placed Greg Mosier on leave, citing personnel matters. It said it would provide updates when appropriate and as permitted under applicable laws and privacy rules. Mosier, who has more than 30 years of experience in higher education at community colleges and universities, became president of KCKCC in 2018, according to the college’s website.
Previously, he served as vice president of academic affairs at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and as vice president of academic affairs and executive vice president at Rochester Community and Technical College in Rochester, Minnesota.
The board named Scott Balog, executive vice president, to serve as acting president.
“The Board of Trustees has confidence that Dr. Balog will provide strong leadership for KCKCC and those we serve,” Board Chair Linda Hoskins Sutton said in the release.
