Tim Kaine, the Democratic vice presidential nominee who has deep roots in the KC area, will be in town Wednesday afternoon raising money for the Democratic presidential ticket.

Kaine, who attended Rockhurst High School, will be at the Kansas City home of the Shermans from 4:30-6:30, an invitation says. The invite didn’t provide an address — that was to come after an RSVP was made — but it appears to be in a neighborhood near Loose Park.

A $10,000 contribution to the Hillary Victory Fund gets you some roundtable face time with Kaine, a U.S. senator from Virginia. For a $2,700 donation, you can get a photo with him. A $1,000 gift gets you in the door.

Expect some Plaza-area traffic tie-ups as the veep nominee comes and goes.
