Expect to see the Full Cleaver on Thursday night
It looks like we’re in for the Full Cleaver Thursday afternoon.
Rep. Emanuel Cleaver speaks to the Democratic National Convention about 5 p.m. Kansas City. He promises to talk about the Hillary Clinton personality “people may not know.”
But we should get a complete dose of the former Kansas City preacher’s fiery speaking style, too. At the DNC in 2012, in Charlotte, Cleaver brought the audience to its feet, marching, yelling, pounding his first. It was quite a display.
And — perhaps — here we go again.
“I’m going to be me,” he said. “The people who moved me from Wednesday to tonight wanted me to be me.”
Delegates are demanding the Full Cleaver, a reporter suggested.
“They’re going to get me,” Cleaver said.
