Missouri Republicans haven’t made up their minds about the 2016 gubernatorial race, a new poll shows.
The survey — conducted by Remington Research Group for the Missouri Alliance for Freedom — shows Tom Schweich narrowly leads Catherine Hanaway in the GOP contest.
But it also shows Peter Kinder would beat both candidates.
And Republicans are largely undecided. Close to half of those surveyed had no preference among Schweich, Hanaway, Kinder, and potential candidate John Brunner.
Here are the numbers for governor. The questions were asked of likely Republican voters:
1. Hanaway 13% Schweich 16% Brunner 10% Undecided 62%
2. Hanaway 12% Schweich 15% Kinder 24% Undecided 48%
3. Hanaway 16% Schweich 19% Someone else 18% Undecided 47%
The poll includes the Senate primary. Here, Sen. Roy Blunt wins easily over Brunner, 50% to 19% with 32% undecided.
