Will Kraus opens a blistering attack on GOP rival Jay Ashcroft
A sleepy campaign for the Republican nomination for Missouri secretary of state just turned the corner as Will Kraus released a fierce attack video on his rival, Jay Ashcroft.
“Jay Ashcroft uses his last name as a political tool, but he’s fallen far from the family tree,” the video’s announcer begins.
The ad raises questions about his military service in the U.S. Merchant Marine.
“Was he dismissed for bad behavior?” the announcer asks.
The video also questions Ashcroft’s positions on Obamacare, his failure to turn in signatures for a voter identification initiative and his personal voting record.
“He doesn’t answer your questions. He doesn’t finish the job,” the announcer says.
“He is far from who he says he is.”
Ashcroft is a lawyer and engineer. Kraus is a military veteran and state senator from Lee’s Summit.
We’ve asked for a response from Ashcroft’s campaign.
