Kelly Kultala, the expected Democratic nominee in the Kansas 3rd district, has about $100,000 in the bank as she turns the corner for the fall election against incumbent Rep. Kevin Yoder, a Republican.
Yoder raised more than twice that in the second quarter, and has $2.2 million on hand, FEC reports show.
Incidentally, Kultala’s camp is still pretty upset over a June 25 Facebook post from Mark Gilstrap, a Wyco Republican, suggesting she should be “excommunicated.” The exchange came after the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Hobby Lobby case.
It isn’t clear what exactly Gilstrap meant. So far nothing from Yoder.

Kultala’s people want Yoder to “denounce” the statement.
