Chelsea Clinton will be in the area next Wednesday, the 17th, to organize caucus-goers in Kansas and to raise money for her mother’s presidential bid.
It’s a sign the Clintons are pulling out all stops in the battle to win the Democratic presidential nomination. And, yes, the campaign is now focused on Kansas, never seen as a Democratic bastion. But the March 5 caucuses may loom large as the Democratic race extends into what now appears to be a protracted campaign between Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
The organizing event will be in Overland Park. Time and site have yet to be announced. But a media release said, “Chelsea will talk to Kansans about what is at stake for women and and families in the March 5 caucuses and how her mother will break down barriers to opportunity and make a difference for families as the next president.”
The lunch-time fundraiser will be in Mission Hills. A donation of $1,000 gets you a photo with Chelsea.
