Monday, Colorado GOP chairman Ryan Call said Denver was a preferable GOP convention site because of politics.
“I don’t think Republicans need to be too worried about winning Texas or carrying Kansas,” he told reporters.
Today, a reporter for a Denver TV station wrote this: “... if the GOP follows their recent pattern, Colorado and Ohio emerge as more likely hosts than Kansas or Texas.”
If Kansas City’s bid prevails, of course, the convention will be held in Missouri.
To be fair, Missouri — like Kansas — is increasingly a Republican state, at least on the presidential level.
