Sebelius: “Go for it”

Former Kansas governor and HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius says tackling health care reform in the early months of the Barack Obama presidency was the right approach.

In an interview published Monday by Politico, Sebelius said health care reform might have collapsed had the administration waited.

“He knew that this was a moment in time, and if it did not happen at this moment, there was no guarantee it would ever happen,” Sebelius told the website.

The former governor is now a consultant and speaker.
