Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback’s office has announced dates for several events surrounding his 2015 inauguration to a second term.
The big event will come at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, when Brownback takes the oath of office for a second four years. The event takes place on the south steps of the Statehouse in Topeka and is open to the public.
An open house takes place immediately following the ceremony inside the Capitol.
Two days prior, Brownback will take part in the traditional inaugural dinner and ball at the Kansas Expocenter in Topeka. That event runs from 6-11 p.m.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, Brownback takes part in a prayer service at Newman University in Wichita.
