Students tackle social mobility issues in class project

Katie Laird, a teacher at Alta Vista Charter School, has been working through a project with her students that explores the state of the American Dream in 2015.

She says the students used our 2014 story on the problem of social mobility as a discussion point in the class.

Then the students, from the class of 2016, wrote essays on the subject, which have been posted online.
