Our colleague in the political reporting ranks, John Combest, informs us that his performance on Ferguson has landed Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon in not-so-impressive company.
GQ, the men’s fashion magazine that causes many of us here in the Heartland to shake our heads in dubious amazement, has placed Nixon on its 2014 “least influential people” list.
The Democrat is No. 12 on the list.
“He's the governor of Missouri. Did you know that?” GQ writes. “Pretty sure the people of Ferguson don't. They think their governor is a very large tank.”
Nixon has some pretty good company. Bono and U2 are No. 1. Donald Sterling is listed. So are John McCain, President Barack Obama and Roger Goodell.
