Gov. Jay Nixon took to Twitter early Tuesday to post photographic evidence that he'd cast his ballot.
But what made that photo go viral — on a day when millions went to the polls and control of the Senate hung in the balance — was the person sitting next to Nixon. Or more specifically, the gap between the pants and shirt of the person sitting next to Nixon.
The governor's staff quickly deleted the tweet and replaced it with one containing fewer exposed derrieres. Of course, not before the twitterverse passed it around the world wide web with a spate of jokes at the governor's expense.
“Cracking down on voter fraud,” tweeted Huffington Post reporter Sam Stein.
