Blunt: SCOTUS decision on campaign finance no big deal

In a 5-4 ruling,
the Court said aggregate limits
on what an individual can give to candidates and parties are unconstitutional. The limit on giving to a specific campaign remains, but a donor can give to numerous candidates without an overall limit.
“I assume it will have some impact, but not a lot of impact,” Blunt said. He said wealthy donors might “cringe” because they no longer can claim they’ve hit the ceiling when candidates ask for help.
