Councilwoman takes job with KCP&L

She expects to start in mid-April, but said the job will not interfere with her council meeting days.

Circo said she was assured by the city’s Law Department that the position does not a pose a conflict of interest with her council position. If an ordinance comes up that pertains to KCP, Circo will recuse herself.

For most of her two terms in office, Circo has spent full time on council duties, and she is term-limited out in 2015.
