Kansas job growth in 2013 approached Missouri’s

added 19,200 non-farm, private-sector jobs between January 2013, the first month of the state’s tax cuts, and January 2014.

That’s a growth rate of 1.4 percent.

Missouri

added 40,300 jobs over the same period. That’s a growth rate of 1.5 percent.

Missouri did not cut taxes in 2013.

The Kansas unemployment rate is 4.8 percent, down from 5.6 percent in January 2013. Missouri’s rate is 6 percent, down from 6.7 percent in January 2013.
