Former KC Mayor Mark Funkhouser becomes publisher of Governing magazine

“Over the past 27 years, Governing has established itself as the best resource for America’s government leaders,” Funkhouser’s prepared statement said. “I’m eager to build on that legacy and help make Governing an even more vital partner for state and local public servants.”
Funkhouser has been working for the magazine as a writer and symposium sponsor since his departure from Kansas City more than two years ago.
