A desire named streetcar
Kansas City’s streetcar project isn’t an outlier, Politico reports.
In fact, lots of other cities are pursuing streetcar projects — and the federal money that may come with it.
“Cities have come to the realization that streetcars are incredibly powerful catalysts for economic development and urban revitalization,” one lobbyist told the news organization.
