When it comes to how much Missouri’s members of Congress spent to run their office in 2014, some perspective is in order.
None of the eight members used their entire annual office allotment, according to review by the Springfield News-Leader.
In fact, all eight came in thousands of dollars under budget, the newspaper said.
That said, the state’s Fourth District congresswoman, Vicky Hartzler of Harrisonville, ran the second most expensive office in 2014 of the eight Missouri members. She came in at $1,222,961, trailing only St. Louis Congressman Lacy Clay, who spent $1,260,832.
