KC school employee on leave after report of inappropriate communication with student
A Lincoln College Preparatory Academy staff member has been placed on administrative leave after a report of inappropriate communication to a student.
Principal Kristian Foster said in an email to families on Wednesday that the school and Kansas City Public Schools have opened an investigation, but did not share additional details about the report.
“Please know that LCPA and KCPS take allegations of inappropriate communication seriously,” Foster wrote. “Student safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate that students feel comfortable coming forward. If your child ever feels unsafe at school, please encourage them to bring their concerns immediately to a trusted adult.”
District spokeswoman Elle Moxley said that the district does “not have further comment at this time as this is an active investigation.”
