Overland Park police investigating assaults in parking lot

Two people apparently were injured in a parking lot dispute in Overland Park early Monday, police said.

After an argument started in the 9000 block of Metcalf Avenue shortly before 2:30 a.m., someone pulled a knife and possibly stabbed another person, police said.

The victim got into a gray GMC Yukon. As that vehicle left, it hit the person who had pulled the knife, police said.

The person hit by the Yukon was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Investigators had not found the person who apparently was stabbed.
