Teen shot in fight, critically injured in Kansas City

Witnesses rushed a 16-year-old boy to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Sunday after he was shot during a fight in Kansas City.

Police received a report of the shooting just after 5 p.m. near 66th Terrace and Broadmoor Road.

When officers arrived, witnesses told police that a private vehicle took the teen to a hospital.

Witnesses said the teen and another person got into a physical altercation, during which the teen was shot.

Police arrested a suspect at scene.
