Teenagers attack and rob pedestrian in Overland Park

A person was confronted by three teenagers, punched several times and robbed Friday near the 6100 block of Foster Street in Overland Park, according to police.

Overland Park police responded to the reported robbery shortly after 6 p.m. A person said he was walking west on 61st Street with another male when he was accosted from behind by three teenagers.

One of the teenagers asked for directions and then punched the victim several times. The teenagers took the victim’s wallet and ran away.

All three teenagers were males, between 16 and 18 years old. The teenager who punched the victim wore dark shorts and a white hooded sweatshirt. The other two teenagers wore dark shorts and black hooded sweatshirts.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not go to a hospital.

The investigation continued.
