Man arrested after Kansas City police respond to burglary report

A 23-year-old man was arrested early Friday after Kansas City police responded to a burglary and shooting call in the 2900 block of Bales Avenue.

Police went to the residence about 1:30 a.m. on a report that someone was trying to break in. Officers also were told that someone had shot into the house.

A suspect, who was suspected of being under the influence of drugs, was taken to a hospital.
