Woman injured in shooting in Kansas City

Police investigated a shooting Wednesday night that left a woman injured in northeastern Kansas City.

The shooting was reported shortly before 9 p.m., according to Kansas City police. Initial reports indicated the woman had been shot at least three times in the leg.

The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The investigation continued.
