Man sustains non-life threatening injury after being shot in Kansas City neighborhood
A man sustained non-life threatening injuries after being shot early Monday in the 2300 block of Askew Avenue, Kansas City police said.
The incident was reported about 1:30 a.m. The victim said he was in the area when several men approached him. One of the men brandished a handgun and shot him. The gunman and his accomplices ran in an unknown direction.
The victim drove himself to a nearby hospital. The man’s condition was not available early Monday.
Police did not have a description of the assailants.
