Child struck by city vehicle in Kansas City

A small child was injured Monday afternoon when he was struck by a Kansas City parks and recreation vehicle.

The accident was reported just after 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Prospect Avenue.

The boy, who was reported to be about 2 years old, was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital. Police said his condition was stable.
