Police identify 11-year-old boy who died in vehicular accident

Indepedence police have identified an 11-year-old boy killed Friday in a two-vehicle accident as Noah W. Stratton of Independence.

The crash occurred Friday morning at Blue Ridge Boulevard and Sterling Avenue. The driver of a pickup northbound on Sterling turned left at Blue Ridge into the path of a southbound Chevrolet Impala, police said.

The Impala’s driver and four passengers, including the boy, were taken to a hospital. Stratton was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
