Drive-by shooting injures woman at east Kansas City apartments
A woman suffered a small cut to her knee in a drive-by shooting late Monday that damaged four apartments in east Kansas City.
The shooting was reported about 11:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Willow Avenue. Witnesses said it appeared the shots came from the parking lot of the apartment complex. A gray sedan was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting, which appeared to be random, police said.
Police are trying to determine whether a bullet or broken glass struck the woman. She refused medical treatment.
No detailed description of the shooter was available.
