Man shot, killed in Leavenworth
Leavenworth police are investigating a homicide after the victim was found about 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Sixth and Cherokee streets.
Police Chief Patrick Kitchens said 22-year-old Jonta J. Adams was found unresponsive in a parking lot and was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot wounds.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call police or the Clue line at 913-682-CLUE (2583).
