Sex assault reported in Olathe

An Olathe woman was hospitalized Thursday after a man physically and sexually assaulted her in her apartment.

Police said that the 25-year-old woman was attacked just before 1 a.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of North Lennox Street. She was taken to a hospital afterward with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Her attacker was described as a stocky black man in his 20s. He wore a black T-shirt, blue jeans, a white baseball cap and “Timberland-style” work boots.
