Men bite and punch KC police officers during arrest

Kansas City police arrested two men Wednesday evening after one bit an officer’s leg and the other punched the face of a second officer who had stepped in to help.

It happened after police went to the 3300 block of Tracy Avenue about 6:30 p.m. on a report of a person armed with a bat.

As an officer tried to arrest a man, that man bit the officer’s leg. A second officer helping make the arrest got punched in the face by another man who tried to intervene.

Police arrested both men.

The bitten officer received treatment at the scene. The punched officer was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
