Woman is assaulted in Raytown while walking to work
A stranger assaulted a woman walking to work Wednesday morning in Raytown, police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to police.
The incident was reported just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 6200 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard.
The suspect was described as in his 40s. He wore his blondish-brown hair in a ponytail and was wearing a cowboy hat, a gray jacket and a green shirt, and he appeared dirty.
The woman told police that she had seen the man in that area the past two days.
