Columbia man guilty in sex trafficking of teen girl
A Columbia man pleaded guilty Monday to the sex trafficking of a 16-year-old girl.
Federal prosecutors said Kenyata D. Miles, 35, placed online ads offering the girl and a woman for sexual services.
Miles admitted in Monday’s guilty plea in federal court that he rented two hotel rooms in Osage Beach, Mo., for the purpose of conducting prostitution business.
The girl had been reported missing before police found her in a hotel, according to prosecutors.
A sentencing date for Miles has not been scheduled. He faces a sentence ranging from 10 years to life in prison.
