Kansas City woman shot while walking to after-hours party
A bullet grazed a woman on her way to an after-hours party early Sunday when she got caught in a crossfire involving several shooters, police said.
The woman told police she was walking near 27th Street and Garfield Avenue when several people nearby began shooting at one another about 1:30 a.m. One bullet grazed the woman’s calf.
After she returned home, her boyfriend persuaded her to go to the hospital. She was treated for a minor leg injury.
