Kansas City woman is cut during altercation
A Kansas City woman was hospitalized early Thursday after being cut during an altercation with her boyfriend, police said.
The incident happened just after midnight in the 3200 block of Norton Avenue. The woman said she was sitting on her front porch when her boyfriend approached her with a knife.
The woman said that in an effort to defend herself, she pushed the boyfriend. She and the boyfriend were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police did not release details of their injuries.
Police later arrested the boyfriend.
