Suspect in fatal shooting at Shawnee gun store released from hospital

The second of three suspects wounded in a shoot-out that left a Shawnee gun store owner dead has been released from the hospital.

Londro Patterson III, 20, who had been hospitalized since the Jan. 9 incident, was booked into the Johnson County Jail Monday.

Patterson and two other suspects in the attempted robbery and killing of Jon Bieker, 44, at She’s A Pistol are scheduled to appear in Johnson County District Court Thursday.

A fourth suspect, Deanthony Wiley, 19, remains hospitalized.

Patterson, Wiley, Hakeem Malik, 18, and Nicquan Midgyett, 19, are charged with first-degree felony murder in Bieker’s death.

According to Shawnee police, the suspects attempted to rob the gun store at 5725 Nieman Road owned by Bieker and his wife, Becky Bieker.

During an exchange of gunfire, Jon Bieker was fatally wounded, and three of the suspects sustained wounds.
