A man told police he was shot in the neck Monday evening as he sat in a vehicle parked in the 5300 block of Brooklyn Avenue.
His wound was not considered life-threatening.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. The victim told officers that he was in a vehicle with his cousin when someone started shooting at them.
The victim said he didn’t recognize the shooter. He ran east toward 53rd Street and Park Avenue, where he called police. He was taken to a hospital.

Police were unable to find the victim’s cousin or their vehicle.
