An Olathe man facing a federal child pornography charge has been arrested at a Leavenworth County clothing-optional center.
Federal prosecutors said Christopher Jon Saemisch, 58, appeared Monday in federal court in Kansas City, Kan., on a charge of distributing child pornography. The charge was filed in federal court in Boston.
Saemisch, a registered sex offender, was arrested Friday at the Gaea Retreat Center, according to federal prosecutors. The retreat is in rural Leavenworth County, southwest of Leavenworth and north of Tonganoxie.
According to court documents, Saemisch used the Internet to distribute child pornography to an inmate at a federal prison in Massachusetts.
