Kansas City police search for source of gunfire near Hardesty Avenue

Kansas City police officers near East Sixth Street and Hardesty Avenue believed they were shot at Thursday night and searched the area for the source of the shots.

The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Police shut down Hardesty Avenue as other offficers arrived to search the area.

A police helicopter joined the search.

The investigation continued.
