Man accused of rape in Merriam

A 37-year-old Overland Park man is charged with raping a woman last year in Merriam.

Daniel Raymond Haller was arrested by Merriam police Wednesday and booked into the Johnson County jail, where he was being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.

The rape allegedly occurred Sept. 17, according to court documents.

Details of the alleged assault and where it occurred were not available Wednesday.

Haller is on parole after serving time in prison for an armed robbery conviction, according to court and prison records.
