Roommate allegedly attacks, shoots at Kansas City woman
A Kansas City, North, woman told police that her roommate fired two shots at her early Tuesday after he struck her in the head with the gun.
The incident happened shortly after midnight in the 5000 block of North Topping Avenue.
According to a police report, the roommate became angry when the woman tried to wake up early Tuesday. He grabbed a handgun and hit the woman in the head with it. As she ran upstairs, he fired two shots at her, she told police.
The gunman fled. Police searched the immediate area but did not find anyone.
The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment, police said. The woman said the two had known each other for a while and she allowed the man to stay with her.
