Two Kansas City men are charged in Grandview gas station robbery
Two Kansas City men have been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a gas station early Wednesday in Grandview, according to authorities.
Brandon J. Webster and Diyante Dickens, both 26, were each charged with robbery and armed criminal action in the robbery of a Zipz gas station at 13920 E. Frontage Road near U.S. 71., according to court documents. Dickens was also charged with resisting arrest.
The robbery was reported about 1:40 a.m. Police responding to the robbery pursued a gold Ford Explorer that fled at high speed and wrecked at Blue Ridge Boulevard.
Webster and Dickens were both arrested and hospitalized after the crash. Their conditions improved and they were removed from an intensive care unit by Wednesday afternoon, Grandview police said.
Prosecutors requested a $150,000 bond for each defendant.
