KC resident accused of stabbing man in head

A 19-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with stabbing another man in the head.

Diamond T. White is charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

The incident occurred Saturday night at a home in the 9200 block of Fairwood Court in south Kansas City.

A witness told police that White and the victim were wrestling when the victim punched White several times in the face. White hesitated for a few moments before picking up a knife and stabbing the victim, according to the allegations.

White later told police that he was angry about being punched and “snapped,” according to court documents.

The victim was reported in critical condition. A $75,000 cash bond was set for White.
