Suspicious packages removed from Shawnee neighborhood
Shawnee police closed the 5900 block of Wodland Drive briefly Sunday to remove suspicious packages that a homeowner thought may be small explosives.
Three devices found in a resident’s driveway and elsewhere were not explosive, police said.
The Olathe bomb squad used its robot to inspect the devices before removing them from the vicinity about 3:30 p.m. Authorities believe that juveniles were involved in making the devices.
