Two shot in Westport gunfire between vehicles

Two persons were shot early Saturday in gunfire between two vehicles in Westport.

One of the victims was shot about 1:20 a.m. near 39th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The other was found later inside a vehicle that fled the scene.

Police pulled that vehicle over and after a foot chase took the man into custody for questioning.

Authorities said both victims were in stable condition at hospitals.
