Police, Missouri Highway Patrol conduct early morning DUI dragnet

An early-morning sobriety patrol north of the Missouri River netted seven drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, Kansas City police said.

The department said it stopped 43 vehicles “throughout the Northland,” starting shortly after midnight Saturday morning.

Seven drivers were cited for DUI, three for speeding, and one for possession of narcotics.

The Missouri High Patrol participated in the operation.
