Bones found at dump site belonged to missing Kansas City man
Human bones found last week at a dump site in the 2800 block of Highland Avenue belonged to 23-year-old Ezekiel Willie, according to Kansas City police.
Willie disappeared in 2014 and is believed to have been killed around that time.
Workers found the bones during a city cleanup project April 6. The remains were identified after being sent to the Jackson County medical examiner.
Police said the cause of death is believed to be homicide, bringing the total homicide count of 2014 to 82.
Willie had last been seen on Aug. 1, 2014, near 27th Street and Brooklyn Avenue.
